One Little,Two Little, Three Little Bended Fingers

Fingers do wonders.

They help us do many things.

They are nice extension of us. They enable us to carry out tasks easily.

They, however, posses feat that can be hidden and not obvious to the owners.

Can your fingers do the below...... ?

NOTE:
Do not force your fingers if they cannot.
Be natural.
It's just another feature.

Collective Deception of the Eye

By looking at the shades of black and white above, what do your eyes see?

Do you see lines waving at the middle rows?

Do you really think that the lines are straight?

Do you trust your eyes?

Our brain is a powerful machine. It tries to compute or analyze what its counterpart, the eyes, observe. It then do some processing to make sense of the images that comes from the eye inputs.

It is a very interesting tug-of-war between brain and eye.
This is human nature.
Gorgeous isn't it?

By the way, the lines are straight and not bent as seen by our eyes.

Twisted Rods or Fishy Rods

What does the rods here do to your geometrical sense?
Is the arrangement of the rods possible, going through the planks?
Anything is possible in the visual world.
It is just the limitation of our mind that constraints the outcome..

Simple Things Can Be Wonderful

Look at the three things above. They are nothing new.
They came from wooden pencil shredding.
However, do you find them wonderful?
Simple they may be, but the cuttings and the curvature........
They seem to be telling us that they can look like kings and queens, with the little crowns.
Gorgeous aren't them?

Deceptive Geometry

Look at the picture and .......

You see anything out of the norm. Something is just not right!

The directions of the 3 poles seem to be questionable.

If we can mis-interpret perceived geometry in daily life, we can create something absurd that goes against the norm.

This is deceptive views. But is gorgeous, as it challenges the mind.
Do you agree?

:-)

Fluctuating Shapes

If you look straight at these objects, you will feel nothing strange with them.

However, if you would like to shift your eyeballs around them, you will have a glimpse of them changing their shapes.

They may become oval and elongated in shapes.
This is due to the shaping imposed onto the circular profile.

Brain eye linkage at play.

Lines of Propagation

Do you know that we have rays flying all over us daily?

We have the radio FM wave, radar, mobile phone wave, etc.

Like to have a visual image of these wave?

Look at the below image. It will give you some sort of impression, hopefully .....

Like it?

Interesting, right?

Gorgeous lines of propagation. They creates wonders.

Crazy Maths Expression

Maths has many symbols, numbers and exclusive expressions to represent a model or simply a question for solution.

I was wondering one day, what will a crazy maths expression look like when various maths symbols are "piled" up together.

Look at this...

Is this possible to be simplified?
Gorgeous piece of mathematical art, maybe.

:D

Contrast To The Eyes

Do you notice the strong contrast of the light blue box with the different background?
I noticed this visual effect when buildings are backed by dark clouds when thunderstorm is imminent.
Gorgeous effect, right?

The BIG Me - multiple figures

Take a look at the graphic.

Do you notice what it consists of?

You are right! It consists of many little figures.

What does it mean to you?

For me, I choose it to represent the Big Me.

What do I mean?

There is a chinese saying:

"Sacrifice the small me, to achieve the BIG me".

The implication of this saying is to create a person who does not look from the angle of self. Self-interest is immaterial compared to a bigger perspective.

In order to achieve more, sometimes, we have to sacrifice a bit of our own resources.

Hopefully, this gorgeous figure will remain us of the bigger picture to a better outcome.

Numerical Art Piece

Our writing reveals many internal thoughts. And through these thinking, we are able to come out something very unique to each of us.

The presentation of our mindful flow through writing can be treated as art,if you view it that way.

One such piece is shown here. It is done by a yound kid doing her maths assignment. The mathematical working to the questions on the piece of paper showed an interesting display of how her mind thinks.

Messy or random? Or simply straight forward gorgeous? No right or wrong.
The workings got done, anyway.

See for yourself.

Art of Camouflage

Look at the picture above.

Do you see a herd of stripped animals?

Can you see the difference between the single animal and the herd of them?

The art of camouflage ensures that when animals of the stripped form gathered together, they can look like a piece of "unknown".

Is it a big monster? Or is it a flat piece of stripped wall?

Standing alone reveals the animal clearly.

Our eyes, therefore, look at objects from their outline perspective. When this outline is broken, we are not able to differentiate or identify the object, in this case, the animal within the herd above.

Marvellously created and gorgeously formed camouflaging technique!

Therefore, in conclusion, sometimes we see things that may not be what they are.

Interesting?

Amazing Black White Checker Boxes

Checker boxes are wonderful.

By arranging them in various alignments, you can actually create different perceptions of images.

The above is an example of one.
Here, you can see that the supposedly flat surface is made to seem curved out.
There are 2 humps in all, if not more.

This is a simple way where black and white images (in pixels) are produced.

What you will be impressed with is the formation of these checkers to "trick" the eyes and your brain to see things that are just flat surface laid with square / rectangular checkers.

Impressive and amazing, right?

Big Or Small, Our Eyes Can't Tell

Our eyes can deceive us.

Look at the two sets of smilies above.
Can you tell which smily at the centre of the two sets is bigger?

Yes, I know your answer is the one on the right.

You are WRONG!

Why?

They are of the SAME size. Cover up all the surrounding smilies and you will see why.

Our eyes do tell lies. Sometimes looking at pictures on the overall give us a distorted message.

Staying focus at times serves us better, as the example above proved.

Gorgeous images.... ... ..

.

Box Edges - Expanded!

Looking at the piles of boxes, you will notice one tricky thing.

The edges of the boxes seem to be expanded outwards.

Is this drawn on purpose? Or is our eyes playing tricks?

A frank message:
I did not modify the rectangular boxes.
The piling up of the boxes are, however, done on purpose to create the visual impression.

As such, it can be seen that our eyes do really play visual tricks on us.

Should we trust them...... What we see is not what we get!

:-)

Black and White Visional Magic

The above diagram has an interesting feature. Follow the below instructions to see why.

-Stare straight towards the centre of the diagram.
-Slightly move your sight round the centre point.

Do you see anything in the white background?
There is an image!

Is your eyes telling you some message through these black vertical lines?

Our eyes are wonders that can be mysterious. They see things that links with our brain to form images that may not exist. Illusion?

Gorgeous lines of above are simple to create. But they form many interpretations after that.
Enjoy!

:-)

Path To No Peak

This is an illusion whereby the peak to the path is non-existence.

Moving along the gray coloured path leads you to no peak.

Try it.

Get what I meant?

Our eyes can sometimes see things that our brain cannot comprehend. It therefore requires more information through other senses to decipher the mystery.

What You See May Be More!

Our eyes are known to play tricks for us.

However, they also make our life interesting.

We get to see things that people see otherwise.

We see things differently even though the object is the same.

Here, on the left is a graphic.

What do you see?

Two bottles sticking out ... or a capital "E" ?

Eyes, eyes, let me see more ........

Can a butterfly draw graph?

What can a butterfly draw other than nectar?

Besides sucking nectar from flowers, it can also....

on a sheet of graph paper, draw itself !

Amazing isn't it?

A mathematical butterfly, wow!

Maths really is interesting even to a flying insect.

Tow Truck in Alphabets!

Ever seen a tow truck constructed in letters. Here is one for your pleasure viewing.

Can you figure out which alphabets are being use?

Wonderful, right?

Alphabets are not only useful for text-base material, they are now part of graphics and diagrams!

What more...... It depends on the limit of our imagination.

Artistic Veins Or Otherwise ?

Looking at this diagram, one wonders what that could be.

Where does it belongs to?

It looks like a mesh of interlinked paths taken from high up or from a satellite.

Or is it a zoomed in view of veins in our body?

However, or whatever it is , the lines (or equivalent) are rather artistic. Most of them branches out at 90 degree, or tangential, to the others.

To let the cat out of the bag, it is a zoomed in view of a green leaf.
We should be taking time off, once a while, to appreciate nature and see for ourself how nature builds themself.

What's The Hidden Message?

Imagine if a given message is given as above, what is your reaction?

There is a hidden message within the 2 pages.

Look carefully at the 2 pages. Though they have the same message, there is a major difference between them. Can you identify it?

For the layman, the above 2 pages seemed to be meant for secret agents or spies.

Do you qualify as one?

:)

Spinning Round

Wondering what is this?

By following the spin, are you able to find the starting or the ending point?

Life is like this!

Lost if we do not figure out what to aim for.
Even if you found your target or destination, if you do not plan forward, you will end back in the "spin, spin, spin".

Keep track of what you are doing and continuously stay FOCUS.

Otherwise ... headache! (after the spin)

Fish Eye View Perspective

I was trying out the impact of having a mathematical expression going in polar (angular ) manner to see what is the outcome. The expression I have selected is the sine function.

(Do not border if you do not understand what I am talking..)

Anyway, the image or result generated came out as a surprise to me.

The graphically output is shown above.

What surprises me is the impression of a net, a fishing net thrown wide into the sea.

How does a fish trapped in this net see?

Now you and I have the answer!

This image reveals the anxiety of a fish cornered by a fishing net.

"Help! Help!" said the fish.

A real fish eye view indeed!

Mesh Within Mesh

This was created using mathematical equation plotted in graph. 2 graphs were generated and superimposed to form this amazing effect.

It has a 3-D visual impact.

I imagine it as a father housing its kid within itself.

"Mesh within Mesh" is the name I have given to this graphics.

Any comments?

Generations of 5

Gorgeous 5!

Do you see the generations of 5?

The kids, the parents, the grand-parents!

They are a big family. Wonderful isn't it?

We can created many of them using alphabets also.

This hopefully helps to inspire more artistic letters and numbers.

Imagination -Testing Images

Did you notice that these images are drawn using a template?

With different segmentations and colours,
the images present different "message".

For this image on top, it looks we are entering a tunnel.

What do you see for the 2 images on top ? A zebra-crossing?

Or a stack of mounting brackets?

What is the red line on the left image doing?

A lighting within the tunnel?

Are they a set of directional arrows?

By adding colours to the same image, we have converted the "tunnel" into some other thing.
What can you imagine?
Colourful pockets?

IMagination, IMagination........

Numbers Can Be Striking

This piece of "Art" has been created by using only the number "8".

Is it amazing?
Look at the details.
Gorgeous, right?

What does it look like?

A braclet?
Or an onument?
An icon for number?

It goes with any imagination you have.

Here you see, numbers can be fun and exciting!

.

Exciting Fonts

"Fonts, fall in!"

This is a parade of font types.

In this world, font types are aplenty.
Look at the fascinating fonts.

This font type can be used to impress customers, in teaching of lessons, to make anything more refreshing and many more applications.

But putting them all together do creates an unusual beauty in them.
Do not ignore them just because they are numbers. They can be beautified!

Don't Look At Thing Straight

This look like a stack of crumbled newspaper.

Or does it?

There are times where things are better looked at in another angle.

Tilt your head horizontally to view this graphic again. You may find some hidden message.

Reflection

There are many colours in our life.

Does this graphic represents the colourful life that we go through in circles?

It resembles water droplet reflecting beams of rainbow coloured lights.

Any reflection of yours?

:)

A Cluster Of Beautiful Lights

Does the lighting looks like durians?

Or does it look like turtles in the dark covered by some precious gems?

Can it be porcupine shone with light from a torch?

Gorgeous Lighting

Look at the pattern of little lights generated. Does it appear great?

The lights are made of small Light Emitting Diodes (LED).
