Arrangement of Items

When things are not aligned properly, you will get this fantastic art piece.

When your life looks as above, you will be mess up gorgeously.

There is beauty though in this misalignment.

See the beautiful side admist the mess.

Life will take a different dimension when you perceive things and images differently.

Look around......  There are more than you expect in life.

Delightful Half

'
There are times when you will notice certain beautiful and gorgeous combination of events.

Light is one element of beauty when applied to many objects.

What if the object is a pair of high-rise buildings?

Looking at the below photos, you will wonder what a good and surprising combination that is possible only with correct timing.

The first photo is the "delightful" one, where only one side is lighted up.
The second is to reflect the change after a minute later.

A minute later ......

The lighting effect was not that impactful and the beauty diminshed as time goes by.

Treasure every minute of our life like what the sunlight does to the pair of buildings.

Happy New Year 2010!

Gorgeous Tree

A tree is a tree.

What am I talking about?

Look at the picture below and you will see a beautifully grown tree.

Sure?

Look carefully if you are convince it is.

Do you see some "rectangular" objects attached along with the leaves?

They are antennae (aerials).

They are used for radio transmission to portable devices.

The "tree" is actually a cellular base station dressed up as a tree.

What a way to blend in communication technology with nature!

Looking and Thinking

By looking at the picture on the left, you may have a few questions pooping out of your mind?
What are the objects and their physical relationships?

Looking and thinking come hand in hand.

Let's say if there are 3 objects in the picture.
I suppose the relationship is clearer.

But what if there is only 2 planks?
Is there anything wrong?

Challenge your imagination!
Our minds are always gorgeously wonderful.

Any comments?

Circles and Squares Create Exciting Visual Impact

'
Circles and squares when placed in a certain combination can create interesting image that can challenge our visual sense.

Look at the diagram below.

Do you see that the lines of the squares are bent?

The lines are actually straight! There are not bent.
The circles are the ones that cause a visual trick to our eyes.

What you see can be deceiving, in this case,
and also to that of the previous post with another mixture of squares and circles.

Enjoy seeing circles and squares!

Squares and Circles Make Fun in Viewing

'
Square and circle in isolation look just like what they exactly are.

A square will look like a square.
A circle will look like a circle.

But if they are combined, or superimposed onto each other, different visual appearances happen.

One example is shown below.

What is interesting is that the circles look a bit of odd and distorted.

This is the eye and brain communication part at play.

Have Eyes But Do You See it?

'
In the below photo, there is nothing great to see.
Only a plain piece of grass field.

Or is it really so?

See carefully. Do not be surprise if you see something......

Hidden in sight is a living thing, a creepy one.
A gorgeous skill of survival.

Stare hard next time when you walk about.

Skewed Rectangles

.
When lines are inter-mixed together, they form images that is beyond the comprehension of our eyes.

See for yourself the below rectangles.

Do they seem to be right-angled?

They are! (to be frank). It is our eyes that are playing tricks......... again!

Interesting, don't you find it?

Flat Plane or Otherwise

Looking at the above picture, do you notice something fishy?
It seems normal with a block going through the ribs.
This is another impossible situation if the light blue plane is flat (except of the centre rib).
Can you see why?
Geometry is helpful in this matter to guide our frame of view to expose the "wrongs".

Up or Down, You Decide

Visual presentation of pictures can be made gorgeous.

This is especially so when the picture is a "shock".

If the picture does not follow logic, it strikes the mind.

The mind will wonder what happen.

Is the brain alright, or are the eyes playing tricks?

Looooook at the below...

Can the ball go through the poles?

A bit of a weird here, right?

Up or down ?

Gorgeous image.... a deception to the eyes!

Arrow In Question

Looking at the arrows through the heart, can you identify which is the correct one going through it?

Is it the upper arrow or the one below?

Visually, sometimes, it is hard to tell.

Gaps between objects of interest do possess some confusion for our vision.

Use a ruler to get the answer.

Sides Can Be Deceptive

Can you find anything wrong with this object?
With a geometrical deception, an interesting object can be produced.
The sides of this object is carefully "oriented" to look confusing, yet normal if not seriously looked at.
In everyday life, things may not be what you see. This object illustrates the nature our eyes see things.

Family of Twisted Frames

Frames are all over.

Structurally, some may look normal. But upon closer look, you will discover the below family of frames to be geometrically-interesting.

Why?
Find out yourself.

It will be more exciting to reveal it yourself.

Do you like them?
I bet!

Frames, frames, frames...
Gorgeous twisted frames.

Cunning Overlapping of Objects

Three objects lying side by side with one at a special posture.

The white-coloured block is the culprit in this diagram playing trick with your eyes.

Though the white block is at the background, its leg moved up to become at the foreground, heading the three.

Funny drawing isn't it?

You can do the same, sketching wonders that fascinate our eyes.

Twist Here, Twist There, Everywhere, Twist Twist

With a bit of imagination, you can twist and overlap an impossible rib into a structure not possible in real life.

Drawing comes to life with creative twists.

It is fun. Try one for yourself.

Deceptive drawings are one way to trick the mind and the eye.
Or are they to challenge the logic?

Staircase Of Character

Climbing staircase is second nature to most of us.

But be aware.

Don't be too confidence.

There are some that do not really seem normal.

Look whether you can go through this special staircase.
It has its unique character.

It cheats the eye. Climbing it calls for balancing and focusing in order not to get hurt!

Can you see why?

Enjoy climbing this gorgeous staircase.

Anything is gorgeous if you do not limit your imagination.

Blurred Image

Depending on the reflection from a surface, you may find all sort of images reflected.

The images formed may at one time differs from another time.

By looking at the image, especially a blurred one, you may see or imagine many things.

What do you see in the reflection below?

Is there any other things you can see also?

Like the saying "A picture tells many stories". Does this one satisfies the statement?

Brain-eye co-ordination is amazing and gorgeous.

What do you think?

:-)

Seeing To Unbelieving - A Cross-Legged Figure

Look! A special cross-legged figure.

It looks like a human with one leg lifted. Or does it?

Is the figure possible?

Is the geometrical alignment possible?

Can you believe your eyes that this figure is feasible in real life?

Unbelievable that drawing can expose many weakness in our vision.
This is one of them. Deceptiveness at play...

Collective Deception of the Eye

By looking at the shades of black and white above, what do your eyes see?

Do you see lines waving at the middle rows?

Do you really think that the lines are straight?

Do you trust your eyes?

Our brain is a powerful machine. It tries to compute or analyze what its counterpart, the eyes, observe. It then do some processing to make sense of the images that comes from the eye inputs.

It is a very interesting tug-of-war between brain and eye.
This is human nature.
Gorgeous isn't it?

By the way, the lines are straight and not bent as seen by our eyes.

Twisted Rods or Fishy Rods

What does the rods here do to your geometrical sense?
Is the arrangement of the rods possible, going through the planks?
Anything is possible in the visual world.
It is just the limitation of our mind that constraints the outcome..
